Law firm Porter Dodson, based across Somerset & Dorset, has promoted two leading lawyers to the position of associate.
Gemma Lindegaard joined Porter Dodson in 2010 following the Firm’s merger with Batt Sanders & Bennett. She qualified as a legal executive in 2008. Gemma works in the Yeovil office, and has extensive experience in Commercial, Rural and Residential Property, specialising in development sites, complex freehold sales and purchases and commercial leases.
Victoria Walker, Partner in the Commercial Property team, commented “Gemma has a detailed knowledge of the local property market, having always lived and worked in Yeovil. This knowledge enables her to give the very best advice to her clients. She is an excellent technical lawyer and communicator; particularly skilled at explaining complex issues in a way that is easy to understand. Diligence and approachability are fundamental to her service delivery, and we are delighted to see her hard work and expertise, rewarded.”
Jenny Shepherd joined Porter Dodson’s Wellington Residential Property team in 2017 having qualified as a solicitor in 2011. Following the retirement of Stephen Mahoney after 35 years with the firm, Jenny has taken a leading role in the department, ensuring that transactions in both the Wellington and Taunton offices are handled professionally and efficiently.
Kate James, Head of the Wellington office commented “Jenny is a valuable member of the team. She works closely with others and mentors less experienced conveyancers in the finer nuances of the work. She has built excellent relationships with the estate agents in town, who refer work to her knowing it is in safe hands. I am delighted to see Jenny’s hard work recognised with this well-earned promotion.”
