I graduated from the University of Birmingham with a degree in Geography in 2017. In 2020 I completed my GDL, followed by the LPC and Master of Law from BPP University. 

I started with Porter Dodson as a paralegal in the Corporate Commercial department in July 2023, before becoming a Trainee Solicitor in September 2023, and remaining in the department for my first seat. During my first seat, I assisted with a variety of matters from corporate restructures, commercial agreements and company acquisitions.

My second seat was in Property Litigation, which was very different from my first seat! During this seat, I quickly became familiar with the litigation process as I was given the opportunity to attend a Lands Tribunal hearing for a case on restrictive covenants in my first week. Throughout my time in the department, I worked alongside the team on a number of disputes varying from residential and commercial landlord and tenant issues, disputes over easements and boundaries, leasehold enfranchisements and farming partnership disputes. My biggest achievement during the seat was undertaking advocacy in Court for a Landlord and Tenant hearing where I secured a successful outcome for the client.

I am currently in my third seat in the Employment team. The team work closely with the Corporate Commercial team, and it has been really interesting to see the transactions from a different angle. I have been involved in advising clients on disciplinary and grievance matters, settlement agreements, and redundancies, to name a few. I am also heavily involved in a whistleblowing Employment Tribunal case, which is due to go to trial in the next few months.

I am currently on the social committee at Porter Dodson and I have recently helped organise and host a musical bingo in the Taunton office!

Outside of work, you will find me running Park Run on a Saturday morning! I also enjoy dressmaking and landscape photography.
