Specialism:
I joined Porter Dodson in September 2022 having worked in a Private Client team for 9 years at another south west based law firm. I qualified in 2017 as a Chartered Legal Executive. I work in the Trusts team, specialising in the administration of Trusts.
I advise Trustees on their responsibilities towards Trust assets, beneficiaries and compliance with Trust regulations. I am able to advise clients on Trust creation, transfer of Trust assets and the ending of Trusts including the tax implications of such decisions. As well as general day to day Trust administration, I can prepare Inheritance Tax Accounts for HMRC, prepare Trust Accounts, deal with changes to the appointment of Trustees and attend Trustee meetings.
I know how important it is to keep clients updated on the progress of their matters. The administration of Trusts can be a complex area and I therefore ensure advice to my clients is clear and succinct to achieve their aims in a straightforward manner.
Outside of work I enjoy running and family bike rides with my two little children.
Jenni Porteous should be praised for her work ethic. She always puts the client first and ensures she gives good, succinct advice.
Porter Dodson have dealt with some complicated family issues to do with Trusts and property purchase. Their knowledge and experience were exemplary and it was dealt with in a very sensitive, understanding and seamless manner, ensuring a successful outcome and property purchase.
