I qualified as a solicitor in 2005. Having lived and worked in London until 2010, I moved west and have practised in this part of the country ever since. I have been based in Yeovil since 2017 and I joined Porter Dodson in January 2024.

I am on the Children Panel, which is the Law Society’s accreditation for Children lawyers. This enables me to advise and represent children in Court proceedings (either directly or through CAFCASS), although I regularly represent parents and members of parents’ extended family in public law cases (where social services are involved with the children). I also represent parents in private law cases (for example, disputes between parents about living arrangements).

I am very aware that people do not usually contact lawyers for advice about their children if things are going well and that very often clients will be extremely worried and stressed about what will happen in their case. I try to remove as much of this stress and anxiety as possible and I will always aim to give straightforward and clear advice in what may be a complicated situation.

I do my own advocacy where possible so that clients have continuity of representation throughout their case.
