I joined Porter Dodson in December 2010 after living overseas for 15 years, during which time I volunteered for UNICEF and raised a family.

I started in the marketing team, working with the Partners and Legal Advisors to organise seminars, business fairs, corporate hospitality and other events that reflect the Firm’s ethos of putting the client first.

In 2021 I moved to the Firm’s HR team. My role is very varied and includes recruitment, payroll, training programmes, and maintaining staff records.

The Firm is currently sponsoring me to complete my CIPD Level 3 Certificate in People Practice through the government apprenticeship scheme.  This involves undertaking both on-the-job and off-the-job training to develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours that are essential in an HR professional.

Thanks to COVID, I've learned to enjoy gardening and have created a peaceful and colourful space to read a book or BBQ with family. I have also acquired a cockapoo whose sole aim in life is to destroy my hard work in the garden but brings the family hours of pleasure!
