Bio

I qualified as a solicitor in 2008, having completed my training with Porter Dodson from 2006. I became a partner in May 2016.

I have wide ranging experience in dealing with commercial property, working both for landowners and developers. I also guide clients through the process of letting commercial property. I have considerable experience of taking clients through the complicated and technical process of extending residential leases.

I am also involved in more general commercial land work advising on option agreements, conditional contracts and overage/uplift agreements.

I specialise in renewable energy and, in particular, solar farms and the legal issues that arise from this fast growing area.

My experience allows me to guide clients through the legal process. I work with them to gain an understanding of what they are seeking to achieve so that I am then able to provide the tailored advice suitable to their needs and requirements.

Having detailed knowledge of Taunton and the surrounding areas allows me to work with my clients and solve issues which may arise only locally. I am happy to meet them in any of our offices or at a location of their choice.

I won the Cook’s and Hatchard’s Law Prize.

    Testimonials

Ben Hingley was very professional and always helpful in whatever small detail I may not have understood and always came over in a calm and collective manner. With some very technical parts to the process Ben was very knowledgeable and lead me through the process with aplomb.
